Large Illuminated Shop Display Clock 1950’s

This large clock was removed from Rackhams Department Store in Birmingham when it underwent renovation. The Swiss Made clock advertised Rotary watches and this is still faintly visible on the clock face. The clock originally hung on the wall (which it still can) but it has been fitted with a solid walnut base so that it can stand securely. This base is easily removable. The clock face can be illuminated by a circular bulb running around the outside of the dial. This is switched at the side and has been re-wired. The clock is no longer electric powered and has a battery powered quartz movement. The clock face has an attractive deep blue border and original gilt metal hands.
